Of course the world has gone wireless. It’s hard to miss walking down the street. Phones are the most obvious as are pictures when something embarrassing happens. Wireless printers, however, have been a bit on the slow side in keeping pace. They have been available but in many cases they were just too expensive or require an advanced degree to install.

What to look for

From Lexmark to Canon, just about all printer manufacturers have a wireless printer line in one form or another. How the manufacturer decides to go about developing its offerings is the key to many aspects of deciding which wireless photo printer is right for you. If a dedicated photo printer is an option check out the Lexmark Z1420. It’s adequate for the job, doesn’t need a doctorate to install and turns out reasonable photos for under $80.00.

Brother is also in on the act with its Brother MFC Series. A bit pricy but an all-in-one wireless printer ready for the job. Be careful that you have the right media card.

Bluetooth options should be mentioned. They are most often found with Canon and are increasing option with manufacturers. Wireless photo printers have come a long way but be sure you know what is inside before you buy.
